Steam and condensate package

Steam and condensate systems leave no room for shortcuts. Temperatures are high, the insulation has to be right for them, and the cladding has to protect it for years. This was a large and technically demanding steam and condensate package that took real attention to detail and coordination.

It is also a job our team remembers for another reason: it is where our Managing Director, Jordan Wallace, finished the last stages of his traineeship on site.

Steam and condensate insulation works at high temperatures, so the insulation has to be the right type and thickness for the service. For example, valves and flanges on steam lose a lot of heat if they are left bare, and they are also a burn risk. In addition, the cladding protects the insulation from damage and weather for years. That is why we treat steam work as some of the most important work we do.
