The Geraldton Health Campus redevelopment is a major upgrade of the main hospital for the Mid West, about 400 km north of Perth.
Our scope covered the mechanical insulation across the new and upgraded areas: AHUs, fan coil units, VAV boxes, and the chilled water and heating hot water pipework.
Regional hospital work needs materials and crew planned well ahead, and staging around a hospital that keeps running. Our WA team planned both from Perth.
We plan regional work like the Geraldton Health Campus before anyone leaves Perth. For example, we order insulation, cladding and fittings early and freight them with the crew in mind, so nobody is waiting on site. In addition, a hospital that stays open means working area by area, so we agreed the staging with the project team. As a result, the regional hospital gained upgraded mechanical services with insulation installed to the specification.
