Pipe and duct insulation over more than a year
One of our longer Victorian jobs, this ran for more than a year from start to finish. The scope covered both the pipework and the ductwork, new work and repairs to what was already there.
Over a kilometre of pipework was insulated and finished in PVC cladding, more than 5,000 square metres of ductwork was insulated, and our crew installed over 500 metres of metal angles to support the duct insulation.
Existing pipework and duct insulation systems were repaired and upgraded along the way, so the whole building ended up to the same standard.
A job of this size runs on planning. For example, over a year on site meant keeping the same standard of pipe and duct insulation from the first week to the last, across crews and areas. In addition, the metal angles were installed to support the duct insulation, so it stays in place for the life of the building. Finally, repairs to the existing systems mean the old and the new now perform together.
