Energy efficient, weather tight duct

We externally insulate supply, return, exhaust and outside air ductwork to the R value in the specification and NCC Section J, sealed so it performs as designed.

Rooftop and external duct is then clad in metal and sealed against the weather, so the insulation stays dry for the life of the building.

External duct insulation

Supply, return, outside air and exhaust ductwork insulated with foil faced glasswool or Rockwool blanket to the R value the NCC and the specification call for, taped and sealed so it performs as designed.

Rooftop and external duct cladding

Duct on the roof needs more than insulation. We clad it in Colorbond, Zincalume or aluminium with sealed joints, falls, weatherheads and access sections, so water runs off and the insulation stays dry, like the double skin Colorbond system on the Australian Museum in Sydney.

Plant rooms and risers

Inside, duct is insulated around fittings, dampers and access panels without blocking maintenance, and clad where it can be knocked.
